FRATELLI GIACOSA

The long family tradition of Giacosa Fratelli born in ancient times.

Once there were in fact four brothers: Leo, Giovanni Battista and Giuseppe Costantino. In the late 1800s they moved from Costigliole d’Asti to Neive, in the heart of the Langhe, working as sharecroppers. Their purpose from their roots, but a different fate: Leo died in a hunting accident, Giovanni Battista became pastor of Caramagna, Constantine joined the Carabinieri and Joseph cultivated a dream, his dream of being able to have a cellar where to produce his wine.

In the summer of 1895 there was a cellar for sale only Borgonuovo di Neive, but it costs too much and has been able to do.
But one night he dreamed the numbers that the next day he played the lottery: he won, and finally bought the much dreamed cellar. After Joseph came the Lion son. From the cultivation of grapes for wine making, all in the family

LA CAPLANA

The Guido family is dedicated to the cultivation of vines and of wine production since the last century. In 1925, thanks to the technique of American grafting,our grandparents saved the vineyards from the terrible “filoxera vastatrix”. In the 1960s, despite the gradual desertification of the campaigns, our father continued unremittingly to work on them its lands.

The vineyards, located in the highest hills dedicated to production of Gavi and Dolcetto di Ovada, have considerable difficulty of cultivation due to the significant slopes of the soil, this hilly shape combined with nature white earth clayey and ultra-sculptural screws, give us our characteristic wines of fullness, corpusity and intensity aromatic products lasting over time.

The elegant female figures reproduced on the our labels are freely inspired by the portraits of woman painted by the famous artist Amedeo Modigliani (Livorno 1884-Paris 1920).

CORTE MOSCHINA

ASTORIA

The Astoria winery was founded in 1987 when a historic family of winemakers was decided to devote more attention to the land. GRADIS’CIUTTA

Gradis’ciutta is the name of a rural hamlet on top of a hill in the town of San Floriano del Collio. Around this hamlet, the grandfather, Franz Princic, had his historical vineyards. Before being named Gradis’ciutta, this place was known as Monsvini, which in Latin means “the hill of wine”; the name recalls the old winemaking tradition in Collio.

Following local traditions and the deep bond with the land, the winery continue to harvest varieties handed down to them from their ancestors. Their pure and clean wines come from indigenous grapes, the Ribolla Gialla, and (Tocai ) Friulano; blends are created from Malvasia, Moscato, Picolit, and Verduzzo. CASA DI TERRA

The company Fattoria Casa di Terra was founded in 1950 by the grandparents of the current owners Julian and Jessica Frollani, in Bolgheri, in the heart of Tuscany. These lands, originally dedicated to the cultivation of vegetables, olive oil and wine, left over the years, more and more space to the vineyards to the final decision in 2001 to dedicate the entire surface of the land to the production of wine.

The farm, located in the hills around Bolgheri, covers about 120 hectares, of which 30 are vineyards Bolgheri DOC and IGT Toscana. TENUTA DI CANNETO

CASTELLO DI UZZANO

The production of high quality wines began in the Chianti Valley around the year 1300 in the Uzzano Castle estate, guaranteeing for centuries the recognition and prestige of its wines all over the world. Acenturies old wine-producing history which has made a nome for itself as a producer of excellent Chianti Classico, thanks to the favourable position and structure of its vineyards. ELIA PALAZZESI – Collelceto

LUNE DEL VESUVIO

CASA MASCHITO

On the hills behind the Vulture lie the vineyards of Casa Maschito. We are in Basilicata, in the province of Potenza. Here, in 1999, some young businessmen friends decided to buy ten hectares of land, to build a wine company. Today the winery Casa Maschito produces about 60 thousand bottles a year, offering a range of excellent wines, with bases of Malvasia, Moscato and Aglianico course.

Among the of the success of Casa Maschito there are certainly the peculiar characteristics of the land on which the vines are planted. Of tuff matrix, these soils are easy to work and above all they can to ensure that the screws can give their best, giving the grapes from which are obtained wines full of volume, of good size and particularly balanced in tannins. PODERI LA FENICE

The family-owned agricultural estate Poderi La Fenice was born in the heart of Salento peninsula in Puglia region, Italy, in 2015 from Roberto and Ekaterina’s passion for wine. The estate has been lovingly put together from abandoned estates and outdated smaller private vineyards aiming at restoring the glorious agricultural traditions of Salento.

From this idea of rebirth comes the name Poderi La Fenice, with reference to the ancient myth of the Phoenix, the long-lived bird that arises to new life from its own ashes. Another distinctive feature of Poderi La Fenice is the focus on quality rather than on quantity, at a time when the opposite trend often threatens the production of wine. It is also for this reason that our vineyards cover just 7 hectares, among the provinces of Lecce, Brindisi and Taranto. They proudly harvest manually and while the yield may be discreet, the quality of the grapes is always high.

ALAGNA

The Alagna winery began its activity in Sicily in the first half of the twentieth century thanks to the hard work of its founder Giuseppe Alagna, who was the first to recognize the potential of the Sicilian wine market. His son Antonio Alagna continued to invest time and energy in the enterprise managing to make it grow in terms of sales, capacity and number of employees,

and thus became an important economic structure of the province of Trapani. Alagna uses a blend of traditional and modern techniques for the production of these grapes. For example, it has begun to use systems of mechanical harvesting, but it also uses ancient systems such as the spur pruning cordon. Moreover, the entire production is made trying to minimise the environmental impact and to preserve the naturalistic heritage of the area.

FEUDI DEL PISCIOTTO

Feudi del Pisciotto is located at the very heart of Sicily, just a few kilometers from Caltagirone and Piazza Armerina. The winery includes a new and modern building, the very core of production, capable of processing up to 10,000 hectoliters of wine and an ancient feud. The feud dates back to the Eighteenth century and at the time it was one of the largest of Sicily.
